Jacqueline Brownhill
Jacqueline is a thoughtful and highly effective humanities educator who brings clarity, energy, and purpose to every classroom. Her teaching is interactive and student-centered, with a strong exam-focus that never loses sight of genuine intellectual curiosity. She challenges students to think critically, analyse deeply, and engage confidently with complex texts and historical ideas.
Jacqueline is a distinguished academic with a PGCE in History from Oxford, an MA (Hons) in Modern History, and a Postgraduate Certificate in Educational Leadership. She also holds an IB Certificate in Leadership Practice, reflecting her commitment not only to academic excellence but to educational leadership and best practice.
With over nine years of teaching experience, Jacqueline has taught across IB, IGCSE, A-Level, HKDSE, and KS3 curricula. She is also an IB History examiner, a role she has held since 2018, giving her students a clear strategic advantage through her deep understanding of assessment criteria and exam expectations.
Jacqueline has taught and supported students at a range of leading institutions, including Discovery Bay International School, Cana Elite, English Excel, and St Paul’s Co-educational College Primary School through the Chatteris Educational Foundation. Across these settings, she has consistently helped students strengthen their writing, sharpen their arguments, and achieve strong academic outcomes.
